…the drain on mental health of being resilient.
This has been a gut wrenching few months of riding the rollercoaster with its ups of opportunity and the downs of despair from lack of response or denial. I put self-awareness, part of which is understanding one’s own energy flow, as a critical element of being able to be resilient. However, despite my best efforts and knowledge in the area, I have found myself downbeat.
This is good, in fact very good. If we base our growth solely on when the going is good, we have a distorted view of the world and our abilities. The past twelve months have seen me learn from people who were more warning than example and situations that while difficult allowed me to see myself more holistically.
I have also been blessed to have friends around me (virtually) to support and encourage me. These coaches have been on time and on point. It fascinates me to think about how in certain stages there have been helping hands.
Ok, so is this a ramble…no…realize that right now we are learning. There are people all around ready and willing to help. That light will always be there… it’s just showing you that the journey is ongoing.
